Sometimes the best part about a kids’ movie is the songs that come along with it. There are many soundtracks out there that provide fun, upbeat, sing-a-long songs for the whole family to enjoy. Check out our Rockstar Ranking list and pop in one of these soundtracks on your next car ride!

1. Curious George: Sing-a-Longs and Lullabies


This collection of tunes by singer/songwriter Jack Johnson was created for the Curious George film in 2006. The mellow sounds encourage sharing, recycling, and friendship and are great for the whole family!

2. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax


Youngsters all over have fallen in love with this upbeat, catchy soundtrack from The Lorax. Dancing is strongly encouraged!

3. The Muppets (2011)


The newest Muppet movie soundtrack brings back some old favorites like “The Muppet Show Theme” and “Rainbow Connection,” as well as new additions sung by our favorite muppets. Also check out The Green Album, released around the same time as the movie. This album has some classic Muppet tunes sung by today’s biggest names in the music industry. This is a great family movie featuring music by The King himself, Elvis Presley. This soundtrack has a laid back Hawaiian feel, and exposes children to some older music that they can really have fun with!

5. Over the Hedge


Ben Folds is the star of this fantastic soundtrack. The songs are fun, upbeat, and send great messages for children. If you are a Ben Folds fan, pop this soundtrack in and the kids will be sure to love it too!

6. The Lion King


A Disney classic, this soundtrack provides fun and thoughtful sounds for the whole family. Instant hits such as “Hakuna Matata,” “The Circle of Life,” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” will get the whole family singing along about great messages and fun ideas.

7. The Sound of Music


Although this is an older (and often considered holiday) movie, it is filled with classic songs that quite frankly beg to be sung. Combine “Do-Re-Mi” with “My Favorite Things”, then throw in “So Long, Farewell” and you instantly have one of the best sing-along soundtracks of all time!
